Why I think Seoul Is One Of The Best Places To Do An All Girls Trip.

I recently went on a trip to South Korea with some of my best girlfriends. I've already been twice  before with family and while it was nice and relaxing, I think this latest one was what made me really love South Korea! After this trip, I realized that Seoul is seriously one of the best places to do an all girls trip! So much shopping, so much good food and so much MAKEUP. Yes, we were obsessed. Read on to find out why I think Seoul is the perfect getaway with your best girlfriends!

Cosmetics

Of course the number one reason would have to do with cosmetics. If you haven't been living under a rock, you would know that K-beauty is renowned the world over. Getting to visit the home base was mind boggling. We stayed at Myeondong and this is probably the best place to stay if you are into makeup and skincare - it definitely had the biggest concentration of Korean brand makeup all in one place. Our hotel was literally in the thick of cosmetics heaven as there were rows upon rows of shops with all the major Korean brands. Some brands even had two or three separate shops within feet of each other! I think we needed about 4 pairs of eyes each and a bulging wallet. There was just so so so mannnny!

Food 

I liked Korean food as we have a lot of restaurants in my hometown but never did I appreciate it as much as when I was on this trip! I just discovered that Korea has some of the yummiest dumplings. I also got obsessed with porridge whilst there. I ate at two different porridge shops and I loved it because something so plain was jazzed in so many different ways! Ofcourse we also had  the usual Korean dishes like Bulgogi, Bibimbap and Japchae and those were all awesome as well. We also went to a Cheese Galbi place which was mouthwatering. So much fun to try out all this food with the girls! It was even more fun to try and communicate with the waiters and servers as none of them could speak or understand English so there was a lot of sign language back and forth. It was a pretty nice and fun moment to share with your closest friends.

Shopping 

Makeup shopping aside, they had a lot of other wares to be bought. Someone told us that shopping at a Daiso in Korea is a must. There was one 5 story branch right in front of our hotel! Other than that, since we were all girls we all simultaneously loved spending hours in stores and stalls in the streets and the station just to find a good bargain. Shopping really is the best with your girlfriends! WE also even made a special trip to the grocery just to buy some Korean goods to take home (I mean how old-lady-behavior is that right, getting excited over the grocery, it's something only your girlfriends would understand! haha)

OOTD shoot opportunities

The best thing about traveling with all girls is that we all want to take OOTD photos so each one of us can be patient with each other and most importantly, even enable each other. I mean who else but your girlfriends will understand if you take your coat off in the middle of winter outdoors? Korea had plenty of nice background with outfit of the day opportunities from picturesque Nami Island to the streets of soul.

Easy to get around

Since it was the dead of winter when we went it couldnt have been easy to be out in the cold figuring out where to go. Well we did have moments where we still kind of got lost but in general, Seoul was pretty easy to get around The subways were a breeze to take, we stayed at the heart of Myeongdong which was near everything and the streets were all clean and so not scary to venture out on our own.
